Adobe Ranch History
Jessica's passion for longhorn cattle began early, with the first cows for Arch Acres purchased in 2000. In 2007, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from Purdue University. As an integral part of the family farm, Jessica contributed to herd management and marketing efforts. Her marketing role focused primarily on photographing the herd and creating advertisements, which were used in magazines, sale catalogs, and digital platforms.
Adobe Ranch has grown to include her husband and two daughters. Adobe Ranch has crafted numerous advertisements across various industries, showcasing our expertise in design. Additionally, we have created show books, auction catalogs, and show programs for the Midwest Texas Longhorn Association (an I.T.L.A. affiliate). Notably, we designed the official show materials for the I.T.L.A. Championship Show in 2016 and 2017. Since 2018, Jessica has also been responsible for designing the B&C Show-Me Sale catalogs.
In 2024, Arch Acres was dispersed and the Adobe cattle were moved to a partnership location with Fun-EE Farm in Waveland, IN.
Why is it called "Adobe Ranch"?
The name "Adobe Ranch" is inspired by the distinctive reddish hue of adobe houses, commonly found in the southwestern United States, created from clay bricks. My husband and I refer to our family as "Team Red," a nod to the red tones in our hair and the coat colors of our animals. At one point, every member of our family, including our dogs, shared this red hue—until our blonde family member arrived. Currently, we have two Dobermans, Onyx (black) and Opal(black), but the spirit of "Team Red" remains strong.
In addition to their role as beloved companions, our Dobermans have enriched our lives in many ways. They are excellent family pets, and we believe that dogs, whether working partners on the ranch or devoted companions, bring great value to any home. If you’re interested, I would be happy to recommend several wonderful rescue organizations.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
